Welcome to the Pinball Doctor,

who can solve all of your pinball repair problems.

The Pinball Doctor can visit and service and/or repair your pinball machine, at your home, for a fixed charge. Please advise of any known faults in advance, although a complete diagnostic will be carried out at the time of the visit.

From a non working machine, to a machine which may just need a small repair or adjustment, we can repair it.

We have the latest test equipment, and test rigs, and can repair Pinball machines from the 1980s to 2000. (Please note some early 1980s machines may need to be taken away for repair, depending on the extent of the problem.) A full range of spares, and new circuit boards are carried on a service visit, to restore your machine to full working order. (sometimes further spares may be required, that are not carried, if they are game specific)

All work carried out, is by a qualified Pinball engineer, and is guaranteed. (An Electrical & Electronic Engineer with thirty-five years experience)

A service visit is a fixed price service, which is £130 - £150, for a two hour visit, depending on the location, including the cost of any rubbers and bulbs, which may need replacing (this is NOT a full re-rubber, but any that are perished or broken). Any faults found requiring any major parts replacement, may require a further visit, charged at £50.00 per hour. Advance notice of any known faults on the machine, prior to the visit, may eliminate the need for a return visit. Please note the above price also includes mileage, of up to sixty miles from Ramsgate in Kent. The whole of the UK is covered however, and we will be pleased to quote for a visit to any location, (subject to current workload) please email (preferred), or phone.

Please remember to check the Name and Make of your Pinball machine, which will help us. The Pinball Doctor can also collect your machine, for a complete playfield strip down and renovation, which must be carried out at our workshop (not available at present).

If you prefer to restore or repair a machine yourself, we sell most new circuit boards that might be required here www.pinballdisplays.co.uk. We do not however recommend anyone attempts their own repairs unless they are competent in electronic diagnosis and are able to read circuit diagrams. Pinball machines covered by our repair service are 1978 - 2000s Bally/Williams, Stern, Data East, Sega, 1990s Gottliebs. An Electro-mechanical pinball service is also available for 1960s-1970s machines, on a limited basis, subject to the availability of spares. The Pinball Doctor can also fit the latest software to your machine (for an additional charge of £15, please advise prior to a visit) if required. Some machines had several software revisions carried out , to eliminate possible game problems, or to improve the playing of the games (this only applies to later games, please contact me for details) Certain machines can have additional improvements fitted to them, including full colour displays (ColorDMD) sound systems, and speaker improvements, playfield additions, for example, plastic coloured balls, for the gumball machine in "Twilight Zone", chains to the Magic Trunk on "Theatre of Magic", "Uncle Fester" to "Addams Family". New translights can be supplied and fitted (subject to availability) to replace damaged items. New Dot matrix displays, and earlier display systems can be supplied and fitted to replace faulty or fading units. Please note we only supply add-ons supplied by us, as there are a number of very badly designed add-ons that fail very quickly, and the items we supply have been tested by us.
